CollMi introduces a new paradigm for last-mile delivery in both urban and rural environments. As e-commerce demand grows, logistics operators face increasing pressure to deliver faster while municipalities struggle with congestion and pollution. CollMi addresses this challenge by enabling Collaborative Micro-Hubs (CMH) — shared urban logistics centers where competing companies collaborate by exchanging deliveries, balancing capacity, and reducing empty trips. Built on blockchain and trusted data-sharing mechanisms from the i4Trust framework, CollMi unlocks secure cooperation between stakeholders who traditionally work in isolation. The result is a fairer, greener, and more efficient logistics ecosystem where companies, municipalities, retailers, and citizens all benefit.

The rapid growth of e-commerce has placed unprecedented pressure on last-mile delivery systems. Cities are struggling with congestion, noise, and rising emissions, while logistics companies face increasing operational costs and unpredictability. At the same time, rural regions remain underserved, with deliveries often becoming too costly or inefficient to justify.
These challenges are intensified by fragmented communication between logistics providers and a lack of trusted digital infrastructure. Without consistent data-sharing standards or secure mechanisms to collaborate, companies must operate independently, missing opportunities to optimize routes, pool resources, or reduce redundant trips. CollMi responds to this gap by rethinking how logistics providers communicate and cooperate, building a shared ecosystem that benefits both businesses and cities.

CollMi introduces an urban logistics model centered on shared micro-hubs—neutral locations where different logistics operators can exchange packages, redistribute tasks, and reduce unnecessary vehicle trips. This shared infrastructure removes redundant mileage and improves delivery coverage.

CollMi connects logistics companies through a shared network of Collaborative Micro-Hubs, enabling deliveries to be exchanged and redistributed in a coordinated way. Participating operators register their parcels within the system, and the platform automatically determines the most efficient micro-hub for sorting and handoffs. This transforms day-to-day deliveries into a streamlined workflow where companies can instantly delegate tasks when routes don’t align or resources are limited.
As packages move through the ecosystem, each interaction is securely recorded using blockchain technology. This ensures transparency, trust, and traceability without exposing sensitive operational data. Retailers and partners gain a unified view of delivery progress, while logistics providers benefit from optimized routes, reduced mileage, and the ability to reach areas that were previously difficult or unprofitable to serve.

CollMi improves delivery performance by enabling logistics operators to share tasks, rebalance workloads, and remove unnecessary trips. Through smarter routing and collaborative exchanges, packages reach their destinations faster and more consistently, even during peak demand.
